Introducing the Wormhole Fellowship

We're excited to announce the introduction of the Wormhole Fellowship, an initiative that aims to engage and empower our community members to become representatives of the Wormhole ecosystem and contribute actively towards its growth.

What is the Wormhole Fellowship?

The Wormhole Fellowship serves as a launchpad for community members and aims to spread awareness about Wormhole. Our goal is to cultivate a passionate community & make our community members the true fellows of Wormhole, representing Wormhole and its values to the public, and helping reach more people worldwide.

The program’s focus is chain-specific, meaning you will have the opportunity to represent Wormhole by serving the communities of one or more chains for which you have specialized knowledge.

Through active participation and progress within the program, you can connect with like-minded individuals, display your passion and talents, earn exclusive rewards & recognition, and unlock potential full-time career opportunities in the world of Web3.

How Does the Program Work?

The Wormhole Fellowship is divided into several different levels, each offering distinctive rewards, benefits, and recognition. Advancement to higher ranks requires individuals to actively engage in the community, create exceptional content, propagate the essence of the program, attract quality members, and maintain consistent involvement.

The Fellowship is comprised of several key levels:

Initiate

Program initiates have undergone the initial onboarding process, and have been given the “Initiate” role in discord. They can start participating in the program but cannot yet refer to themselves as “Wormhole Fellows.”

Requirements:

• Complete the application process and be approved
• Undergo the initial onboarding call
• Join the Wormhole discord server and receive the Initiate role

Jr. Fellow

Full-fledged members of the program, Jr. Fellows will receive an exclusive Wormhole merch package and the coveted Jr. Fellow role in discord.

Requirements:

• At least one month of membership in the fellowship program
• Competent understanding of Wormhole and the Wormhole Ecosystem
• Make meaningful contributions to the program

Rewards:

• Exclusive Wormhole merch package
• Opportunity to have Wormhole official channels (twitter, discord, etc) amplify your content and achievements.
• Jr. Fellow discord role

Fellow

Jr. Fellows that have proven themselves to be reliable contributors will be given the opportunity to advance to Fellow. At this tier, you may be approached to take on larger projects and, for projects that may require multiple contributors, you will be given the opportunity to act as a project coordinator, giving you valuable leadership experience as you grow your career in web3.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of producing quality contributions to the program
• Superior knowledge of Wormhole and the Wormhole Ecosystem
• At least three months of membership in the Wormhole Fellowship

Rewards:

Everything in the Jr. Fellow tier plus:

• Opportunity to have travel expenses covered to represent Wormhole at conferences and events
• Fellow Discord role

Sr. Fellow

Fellows who demonstrate consistency and excellence in their contributions to the program will be selected to advance to Sr. Fellow. These fellows will work closely with the Program Leads and Wormhole contributors, lead meetings, have increased access to leadership opportunities and can propose tasks for the task board.

Requirements:

• Consistently producing excellent quality contributions
• Demonstrate clear leadership capability
• At least 4 months of membership in the Wormhole Fellowship

Rewards:

Everything in the Fellow Tier plus:

• Access to funding to launch your own Wormhole initiatives
• Potential pathway to a full-time job in web3 as a Wormhole contributor
• Sr. Fellow discord role

How Can I Contribute?

We encourage members of the fellowship to contribute in any way that best suits their individual skills and interests. Here are a few examples of ways to contribute to the program:

• Content Creation: Create educational content aimed at informing and engaging the Wormhole community. This can be any form of content including Twitter threads, YouTube videos, TikTok videos, blog posts, memes, artwork, or emojis.
• Translations: Translate or create content in your chosen language(s), run regional Twitter accounts, moderate language-specific channels in Discord, and attend regional events.
• Event Organizing: Host in-person or online events, attend conferences, moderate or join Twitter spaces to talk about Wormhole, and help manage and support builder communities or regional community groups.
• Technical Contributions: Contribute to Wormhole’s open source repository, help work on our documentation, create technical writing pieces, build bots for the Wormhole discord server, or build analytics tooling and dashboards.
• Community Relations and Support: Engage with the community and provide support in Wormhole’s social channels or in the social channels of your favorite chain or d’app in Wormhole’s ecosystem.

The program also has a task board system detailing specific tasks members of the Wormhole Fellowship can work on. This board will be updated on a regular basis to ensure that you’ll always have choices of ways to get involved!

Rewards, Recognition and Benefits

The Wormhole Fellowship brings a spectrum of unique opportunities for recognition, rewards, and benefits that become accessible as fellows ascend the ranks.

These opportunities range from Wormhole merch packages, the chance to rise to leadership roles, and even the possibility of advancing into a full-time position within the Wormhole ecosystem. Wormhole fellows may also have the opportunity to earn additional rewards.
