Avail is a chain-agnostic modular stack enabling rollups and appchains to scale efficiently. The network has secured over 580k+ transactions for 285k+ accounts in total. To continue its expansion, it needed a robust cross-chain transfer solution that:
A strategic approach towards ecosystem expansion would play a crucial role in Avail's growth.
Wormhole’s Native Token Transfers (NTT) solution guaranteed AVAIL and stAVAIL could be seamlessly transferred to Base. It transformed AVAIL and stAVAIL into native multichain tokens, supporting Avail’s vision of having an interoperable ecosystem.
Avail was able to:
These advantages came at no security or decentralization costs for Avail.
Since integrating Wormhole NTT on November 26, 2024, Avail’s token holders on Base grew to 1,500 within the first two weeks and are currently 9,249.
AVAIL is already actively integrated into DeFi primitives after expanding to Base with NTT. This includes an AVAIL-USDC pool on the Aerodrome DEX that accumulated ~$2.5M+ TVL and $6M+ trading volume within the first two weeks of launch and has generated a total trading volume of ~$50M USD so far.
Avail also received positive feedback from its community which was looking forward to doing more with the token. Receiving rewards seamlessly on the Base ecosystem was an appreciated addition to AVAIL’s utility besides staking on Avail Mainnet.
