Blast is the first Ethereum L2 that offers native yields for ETH and stablecoins, compounding balances automatically at default rates of 3.3% for ETH and 10% for stablecoins. As an optimistic EVM rollup, it also provides a secure, low-cost, developer-friendly execution layer that allows anyone to build decentralized apps on-chain, allowing for a seamless migration to L2 for any Ethereum-based application.
Blast aims to be decentralized and permissionless, open to anyone with the vision of building scalable applications within Ethereum security guarantees. It is an optimistic rollup, which processes transactions off-chain, subsequently posting data to Ethereum L1, where potentially faulty transactions can be disputed.
To enable the native yield functionality, the yields from decentralized protocols such as ETH staking and RWA (MakerDAO) are passed back to users automatically.
Blast's technical architecture includes:
If you are a builder who wants to enable token transfers to and from Blast, you can do so in just three lines of code via Wormhole Connect. Connect enables developers to bring wrapped and native token transfers directly into their application UIs and can seamlessly enable bridging to and from all of Wormhole’s 30+ connected blockchains, not just Blast, and secured by the Wormhole Guardians.
To start integrating Connect and enabling your application on Blast, check out the NPM package to get started.
Wormhole is the leading interoperability platform that powers multichain applications and bridges at scale. Wormhole provides developers access to liquidity and users on over 30 of the leading blockchain networks, enabling use cases that span DeFi, NFTs, governance, and more.
The wider Wormhole network is trusted and used by teams like Circle and Uniswap. To date, the platform has facilitated the transfer of over 40 billion dollars through over 1 billion cross-chain messages.
