Portal Earn is a new loyalty and rewards program for Wormhole Portal users. Every time you take an onchain action on Portal, you earn XP (experience points).

The more XP you earn, the higher your Portal Status, unlocking boosts that help you climb the leaderboard even faster.

1. Earn XP

Portal Earn operates in seasons, with new opportunities, rewards, and partner campaigns with major brands going live periodically. At launch, here’s what you can expect:

• Bridging or swapping assets across supported chains
• Subscribing to the Wormhole newsletter
• Joining the waitlist (+10,000 XP bonus)
• Staking W (coming soon) - In the next launch, rewards for W staking will show directly in Portal Earn rather than in the Wormhole W Dashboard. Any points accumulated during the current staking season will be reflected in Portal Earn points upon W staking launch.

2. Unlock Boosts

Increase your XP with bonuses based on your activity:

• Transfer Volume Multipliers: Higher transfer volume = bigger XP gains
• Boosted Assets & Chains: Extra XP when you bridge certain assets to specific chains

3. Gain Portal Status

Your Portal Status is based on your leaderboard rank. The higher your rank, the bigger your XP boost:

• Elite (Top 1%) → 1.6x
• Platinum (Top 5%) → 1.5x
• Gold (Top 10%) → 1.4x
• Silver (Top 25%) → 1.3x
• Bronze (Top 50%) → 1.2x
• Purple (Below Top 50%) → 1.1x

XP resets every season, but your Portal Status carries over as a head start for the next one.
