Transfero has selected Wormhole’s NTT framework to take its stablecoin suite, including BRZ, ARZ, and CLZ, natively multichain. This integration will expand Transfero’s reach and bring its emerging market stablecoins to users across multiple blockchain networks.

What is Transfero?

With a focus on Latin American currencies, Transfero has emerged as a leading fintech company in emerging market stablecoins. Processing over 1 million transactions since 2022 and maintaining more than $200 million in monthly trading volume, their flagship stablecoin BRZ has become the largest non-USD stablecoin globally. Beyond BRZ, the company now offers ARZ for Argentina and has recently launched CLZ in Chile.

Traditional stablecoins face significant challenges with single-chain limitations, including fragmented liquidity and security risks from wrapped tokens. Transfero’s stablecoins, built on Wormhole’s NTT framework, will overcome these obstacles through seamless multichain functionality without security compromises. This integration will enable their stablecoins to operate across multiple blockchain networks, generating new opportunities within DeFi ecosystems.

What is NTT?

Wormhole NTT (Native Token Transfers) is a flexible and open framework for seamlessly transferring native tokens across chains while preserving their intrinsic properties on all networks. The framework has achieved the highest security standards through Wormhole’s battle-tested infrastructure, with a total value of $55.6 billion secured by NTT to date.

Leading protocols and their tokens such as Lido’s wstETH and Sky’s USDS rely on NTT for their multichain operations, demonstrating the framework’s reliability. Major institutions and institutional-grade stablecoins like Securitize, Agora, Deep Blue, and M^0 have further solidified NTT’s trusted status through their integrations.

Why NTT?

By integrating with NTT, Transfero will be able to efficiently deploy its stablecoins across multiple chains. The framework’s flexibility enables simplified expansion to new networks.

Token behavior across chains will remain under Transfero’s complete control, from customizability to metadata management and contract ownership. This comprehensive control will ensure compatibility with various token standards and governance systems, meeting the specific needs of emerging market requirements.

With NTT, Transfero will maintain a unified stablecoin supply across all chains without wrapped tokens. This approach will deliver enhanced security and user experience while solving liquidity fragmentation challenges for emerging market participants.
