What is BIO?

Why Does NTT Matter to BIO?
The NTT integration expands BIO beyond Ethereum, with the token now live on Solana and coming soon to Base. This multichain presence makes DeSci funding opportunities available to a wider crypto community, connecting scientists and funders across networks.
NTT also enables projects like BIO protocol to maintain full control over their tokens' behavior on each chain, including aspects such as customizability, metadata management, and ownership or upgradeability. For existing token deployments (such as BIO), NTT can operate in a "locking" mode, maintaining the original token supply on a single chain while enabling effortless cross-chain transfers. Alternatively, it can be deployed in "burn and mint” mode. This allows for a unified supply that is managed and maintained across all supported chains, completely eliminating the need for wrapped tokens.
