The first rewards from the Wormhole Staking Rewards Program (SRP) are now available for eligible W holders to claim via the W Dashboard. SRP Period 1 acknowledges the contributions of early token holders who’ve staked their W for governance on EVM chains and Solana between June 10, 2024, and the snapshot on January 8, 2025, at 00:00 UTC. Over 50,000,000 W has been allocated for this inaugural reward period. There are 58,415 addresses that have qualified for rewards in SRP Period 1.

Rewards Qualification Framework
After the initial unlock, all rewards will vest linearly over 90 days.
EVM
All qualifying users must have delegated to any non-null address during SRP Period 1.
Rewards for SRP 1 were calculated by multiplying a user’s W balance by the number of days a user was delegated. If the user met the minimum qualifying threshold, they are eligible for rewards.
Eligible users will have accrued at least 25,000 W held x days during SRP Period 1. For example, if a user delegates 100 days before the snapshot and holds 1000 W for that duration, they will have 100,000 W x days (1000 W multiplied by 100 days).
All eligible users will receive a fixed reward and a linear reward based on the number of W x days they have accrued. Additionally, any address that has met both the minimum W x days threshold and claimed the Discord Steakorrrs role will receive an additional fixed reward.

Solana
All qualifying users must have staked with the designated program between December 4th, 2024, and the snapshot on January 8, 2025, at 00:00 UTC.
We acknowledge that many Solana users have been excited about staking for governance and would have eagerly participated alongside EVM users if the opportunity was available to them. To reward the same profile of long-term commitment, a fixed reward will be given to Solana users who have maintained a balance of at least 100 W during SRP Period 1. Keep in mind these users must still have participated in staking during the campaign, but there are no additional W x days requirements.
A similar fixed + linear rewards model applies to those that have accrued at least 25,000 W x days during SRP Period 1 for balances in the Solana staking program.

Sybils
The fixed campaign and additional rewards help drive meaningful rewards to smaller holders. That being said, this method also introduces a sybil vector. As a result, Wormhole contributors conducted a high-level investigation to identify and tag certain sybil activity. Addresses that were flagged as potential sybils were treated as follows:
- Those that were individually eligible for rewards were merged with the other addresses in their respective clusters;
- That cluster is treated as one address, collectively subject to the max_cap, and 1 hodler/steakorr reward; and
- That reward is then distributed proportional to the number of accrued points across the flagged accounts.
This resulted in a 40-80% reduction in certain sybil address rewards.
